Coaching, not advice.
An ex-financial adviser in your corner. No products, no commission: just a clear plan for your money that you build and own, with someone keeping you on track.
- 22 years in finance
- No products or commission
- Online, across the UK
You look after your business. Your own money keeps slipping down the list.
Solopreneurs, small business owners and the self-employed are brilliant at looking after their customers, and far less good at looking after themselves. Pensions get put off, savings get raided, and the plan stays in your head.

A regulated advice review can cost around £2,500, so most people simply go without. That leaves millions of people in the UK who need some help with their money, but for whom traditional advice doesn't fit.
- You're self-employed or run a small business
- You know you should sort your pension, savings or budget, but it never quite happens
- You want to understand your money, not hand it over
- You don't want to be sold to
- £2,500Typical cost of a regulated advice review
- 9 to 12mPeople in the UK's advice gap
That's the gap Ndgo Edge is built for.
Financial coaching sits between doing it all yourself and paying for regulated advice. You get a clear picture of where you stand, plain-English explanations of the essentials, and a plan you build yourself, with someone keeping you accountable until it's done.
No products are sold, nothing is arranged on your behalf, and there's no commission. Just the knowledge and structure to make confident decisions about your own money.
Four steps from "I should really sort this" to done.
The EDGE framework sits at the heart of everything Ndgo Edge does. It's simple on purpose, because a plan only works if you actually follow it.

Coaching, not advice
I'm a financial coach, not a financial adviser. After 22 years in global finance, including work as a financial adviser, I now help people take charge of their own money. I have no products to sell and take no commission, so I'm entirely on your side.
What I do
- Help you get a clear, honest picture of where you stand
- Help you work out what you want your money to do, and set goals in priority order
- Explain the essentials in plain English: budgeting, emergency funds, debt, pensions, ISAs and protection
- Help you build your own plan, then keep you accountable while you carry it out
- Give you the right questions to ask when you need an adviser or solicitor
What I don't do
- Recommend specific investments, pensions, funds, products or providers
- Arrange, buy or transfer anything on your behalf
- Give debt advice or set up debt solutions. I'll point you to free specialist help such as Money Advice Scotland, StepChange or Citizens Advice Scotland
- Give legal advice on wills or power of attorney. I'll point you to a Scottish solicitor
When you need regulated advice
If your plan needs a specific recommendation, such as an investment choice or a pension transfer, I'll refer you to an independent financial adviser authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. I don't take introducer fees.
Someone who knows the industry, and sits firmly on your side.
- 22 years in global finance, including work as a qualified financial adviser
- No products, no commission and no trail fees
- Plain-English education, so you understand every decision you make
- Real accountability that turns good intentions into action
Barry spent years on the advice side of the table. He knows how the industry works, what good advice looks like, and where people get stuck. That experience now goes into helping you understand your options, not selling you products.
Because Ndgo Edge earns nothing from what you decide, the only goal is a plan that works for you. And if your plan ever needs a regulated recommendation, you'll know exactly what to ask for and who to ask.
In Good Order
The Life and Legacy Organiser: everything the people you love would need to know, gathered in one calm, organised place. A fillable PDF with instant download.
- Accounts, policies and pensions in one place
- Who to contact, and where the paperwork lives
- Your wishes, written down while you can say them
When someone dies or becomes seriously ill, the people left to sort things out often face weeks of searching for accounts, policies and passwords at the hardest possible time. In Good Order helps you gather it all now, calmly, so they won't have to.
You can work through it at your own pace, a little at a time, and it's one of the kindest things you can leave behind.

Money Mindset: whose voice is in your wallet?
Here's something 22 years in finance taught me: income is rarely the whole problem. I've seen high earners with nothing left at month end, and modest earners quietly building real security. The difference usually isn't a spreadsheet. It's a story. We all carry a money story, and most of it was written before we earned a penny. It came from what we heard at the kitchen table, what we watched our parents worry about (or never mention), and what money seemed to mean in the house we grew up in....
Why the best in the world still have a coach
Usain Bolt had a coach. So does every Premier League manager, every Olympic rower, and most of the CEOs you've heard of. These people aren't short of talent or knowledge. They have a coach because knowing what to do and actually doing it are two very different things. Money is exactly the same. Most people already know they should spend less than they earn, build an emergency fund and plan for retirement. Not knowing isn't the problem. The gap between knowing and doing is. That's where...
Your Budget isn't a diet... it's a Sat Nav
"Beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship." (Benjamin Franklin) Say the word "budget" to most people and you can watch their shoulders tense. It sounds like restriction: no more takeaways, no more treats, a life of beige. I get it. When I moved to Switzerland and it all went wrong, I spent twelve months juggling two homes with no income. I'd love to tell you I had a tidy spreadsheet guiding me through it. I didn't. I found out where my money was going the hard way, by...
